Hello Von
ReplyDeleteAwesome job on this activity. Keep up the awesome work!
Daniel
Kia ora Von,
ReplyDeleteConverting all the different currencies from around the world can often be quite tricky! I know I struggle with it every now and again, so I usually just pop into a bank and they do it all for me easy peasy :-)
Well done on getting the answers to questions 2 and 3 right. Mexico is definitely the most expensive place to travel, and Australia is the cheapest. Why do you think that is? Have you ever travelled to either of those countries before?
Just looking at your currency conversion into NZ dollars, I think you might have just included our currency rate. Which means how many NZ dollars are equal to one currency unit from another country. For example, 1 Japanese Yen is equal to 0.012 NZD, which is exactly right! What you need to do is add in the next step of converting the cost of the flight (which is written in the first table) into NZD dollars. So if 1 Yen = NZ$0.012, how many NZD would 147,172 Yen be equal to?
Does that make sense? If you're still a little confused just ask away and I'm happy to help :-)
Cheers,
Dan.
