Weekly Activities/ Day 20 / Bonus Activity / Week 4

Bonus Activity
School is about to start again for a new year. Yay! Imagine that you walked into your classroom and your teacher asked you to stand up in front of the class and talk about the country that you visited. On your blog, you can:
  1. Post a short video clip of yourself talking about the country that you visited and the things that you learned (1 – 2 minutes)
  2. Type out what you would say to the class if you had 1 – 2 minutes to speak.
I would share to the class a 1-2 min speak: That I had a wonderful time at Germany, I’ve  learnt amazing facts about their country. I also enjoyed seeing the outstanding sights such as the beautiful Brandenburg Gate and to be honest  I absolutely don't mind travelling back to Germany!

  1. Hi Von,

My name is Madeleine, and I live in Canada. I really enjoyed reading your blog! You're right, Germany is beautiful: and the music is too! I also loved your logo from a previous post: it's really creative and smart. You have a remarkable talent for capturing something complex in a single image. But don't go and be an artist; your writing is too good for that! Keep on writing, and have an awesome day!

  6. Hallo Von,

Nice to hear that you would be keen to visit Germany again! I am enjoying living in Germany. I live about 7 hours away from Berlin though - Germany is a huge country! It is nice that you have highlighted one famous sightseeing spot in your 1-2 minutes.

Well done on successfully blogging throughout the summer holidays. I've also see you commenting on other blogs too - great job!

Frohes neues Jahr! (Happy new year)

  7. Hi Von!

It's so heart warming to read that you had a good time in Germany and wouldn't mind traveling back there one day. I really hope that you get the chance to go. I think that you'll love it! The people, customs, food, language, architecture, etc. are truly fascinating. You would have so much to see and do. I'm positive that you wouldn't get bored and feel lonely. You'd have too many cool things to see and do!

I really want to commend you on your awesome job this summer, Von. You have been, without a doubt, the most active commenter out of all of the students involved in the programme. There are over 130 participants so this is a really significant honour.

Way to go, Von. I can't wait to see you and congratulate you in person when I come into St Pius X early in Term 1 to hand out the certificates and prizes for the Summer Learning Journey programme.

    Cheers!
    Rachel :)
