Every year there is a huge music festival held in New Plymouth, New Zealand. It is called WOMAD. WOMAD stands for ‘World of Music, Arts and Dance.’ The festival began in 1980 and there are WOMAD festivals held every year in Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Spain, Italy and The United Arab Emirates. They attract singers and performers from all around the world. Imagine that you are on the WOMAD organising committee for next year. Which two musicians/bands would you invite to perform? On your blog tell us the names of the two musicians/bands and tell us a bit about them. Where are they from? What kind of music do they play?
I would definitely invite Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll and Alicia keys who are my 2 top favourite singers.
Shakira was born in Colombia at Barranquilla on February 2 in 1977, she is 39 years old now. Shakira’s musics makes me dance! One of my favourite song she has written was the song she sang from the animation movie Zootopia = the song is called : Try everything. The song was released last year 2016.
Alicia keys was born in the United States of America in New York City at some place called Hell's Kitchen in January 25, 1981. She’s 35 years of age.I like her music because sometimes her voice rises up and she sings high. One of my favourite songs she has written is called the = New York .
