Weekly activities/ day 1 /Activity 1!

Activity 1:
After you have read the quick facts about each place you must choose ONE country that you would like to ‘visit.’ On your blog post the name of the country and tell us why you have chosen to visit it. Please give, at least, two reasons for choosing the country.

I choose to visit Germany!
Firstly it's because I would like to learn their languages.
And Secondly It would be the most delightful pleasure to taste their food!

  3. Hi Von and Lusia! It is so amazing to see that you have both started the journey this year. Some of our participants did start on Friday so it was great that joined in. I have to admit that I've been so excited all week to launch the programme. I'm really looking forward to blogging with you this summer :)

I love that you have chosen to blog about Germany, Von. It is an amazing country. It has a long and rich history. Two of my close friends are actually living Germany right now and they love it. They particularly enjoy eating German pastries. They are sooooo good!

I hope that you will continue to blog with us and to post great blogs about Germany. I will ask Katharina and Carolyn (my friends in Germany) to read your posts. I know that they will just love them!

Keep up the great work :)

  4. Kia ora Von,

Thank you so much for joining the Summer Learning Journey programme. I'm really excited to follow your blogs taking us around Germany over the next four weeks. My name is Dan, and I'm working alongside Rachel and Mark over the summer. I'm lucky enough to be able to read your blogs and I'll be leaving comments as I go. If you want to reply to my comments then please do! I'd love to know what you think, or if you have any questions, feel free to ask away.

I agree with Rachel, I think Germany is a fascinating country to blog about on your learning journey. I'm looking forward to reading your blogs, and well done on starting so quickly! It's fantastic to see you commenting on other blogs as well as writing your own.

Germany certainly has an interesting language, do you know if they speak more than one language over there? I like how you would want to travel there for the food, I think that's the perfect reason to travel somewhere new!

I hope that you keep up the great work that you have already started Von. I'm super impressed with how many blogs you have done! I get the feeling I'll be learning a lot about Germany from you over the next few weeks :-)

    Cheers,
    Dan.
